About Me

As a graduate of Boston University College of Communications, my Bachelor of Science degree in public relations/communication has led me to a career focused on both agency and in-house PR. I've had the privilege of working in industries ranging from technology to food, luxury cosmetics to education, and everything in-between. Currently I reside in New York City where I am a Communications Manager at Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company.

In the Scholastic Corporate Communications division, I work with internal teams—including Scholastic Library Publishing, Scholastic Education, Scholastic Classroom Magazines, and the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps—to execute creative ideas for broadcast, print, and digital PR campaigns to promote Scholastic products and programs. Notable coverage I have obtained in national and regional media outlets includes:

  • Online/Print: Language Magazine, Education Week, Bustle, School Library Journal, The Huffington Post, Time Out New York, Refinery29, Boulder Weekly, Hi-Fructose, The Times-Picayune, Austin Chronicle, Deseret News, Salt Lake Magazine, FOX News Latino, etc.
  • Radio: WTOP-FM, WWNO NPR Radio, KUT-FM NPR Radio, KPLU-FM, KOOP Writing on the Air, etc.
  • Television: PBS NewsHour, New York 1 News, New Mexico Style, Good Morning Arizona, WNYW-TV Fox 5 NY, FOX WFQX-TV, KTVX-TV, KNXV-TV, WDIV-TV, etc.

In 2014, my team's work on the 91st annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards received honorable mention in PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for "Best Media Relations/PR Campaign."

Outside the office, I am that obnoxious person taking photos of my food at restaurants. Fun fact: There is currently a bagel sandwich named after me at Tompkins Square Bagels in New York City called "The Sullivan." You should order it.
