Brittany Sullivan is a Communications Manager at Scholastic, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, based in New York City. As a part of the Corporate Communications team, Brittany strategizes and executes creative ideas for broadcast, print, and digital public relations campaigns to promote Scholastic products, programs, and the overall corporate brand. Her key focus areas include the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps, Scholastic Education, and the Scholastic Teacher & Principal School Report. In 2014, Brittany’s efforts surrounding the 91st Annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards received Honorable Mention in the "Best Media Relations/PR Campaign" category for PR Daily’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
Prior to joining Scholastic, Brittany was an Account Coordinator at the tech-focused communications agency Eastwick in San Francisco where she supported media relations for client accounts including Seagate Technology and EyeVerify. She built her communications skills and passion for storytelling by completing internships at agencies including Allison+Partners, CerconeBrownCompany, and Conover Tuttle Pace, and companies such as Lancôme.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Brittany graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations/communication and a Western art history minor from Boston University. While earning her undergraduate degree, Brittany was named Chapter Sweetheart of Alpha Theta Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and held leadership positions within Boston University’s Alpha Phi International Sorority.
Outside the office, Brittany is that slightly obnoxious person taking photos of food at restaurants. Fun fact: There is currently a bagel sandwich named after her at Tompkins Square Bagels in New York City called "The Sullivan." You should order it.
